In social studies class, the sixth-graders are learning about the ancient civilization of Mesopotamia.
The students investigated cuneiform, the written language of the Mesopotamians. Cuneiform is the first ever written language! Recently, the 6th graders had the chance to be an ancient Mesopotamian scribe and write their own name in cuneiform. The ancient Mesopotamians would carve into wet clay tablets to keep track of records. Students love learning about ancient history through hands-on experiences!
