Slopes and Stained Glass

Written by Andriana Turcotte | Mar 10, 2023 1:00:00 PM

Artists in sixth grade demonstrated their mastery of slope and linear equations by creating stained glass windows.

Lines had to have a certain number of positive, negative, zero, and undefined slopes as well as linear equations for those lines. Perpendicular and parallel lines also had to be included. Some students wrote down the equations first, then drew the image based on the equations, while others created an image and then calculated the equations.

The stained glass windows will be on display in the windows of L-106 which you will be able to see from behind Devey and God’s Acre.
