This Thursday, September 23, we will join the Center for Humanistic Change for their presentation of the Northampton County Opioid Addiction & Recovery Forum.
We will be joining via zoom in the AWC Conference Room, next to the Coaches Lounge. Interested students are welcome to attend during free periods and lunch to join the presentations and learn more about opioid addiction and recovery. This is recommended for students with medical and public health interests. See the schedule below.
Recent graduate Neha Skandan '21 has been an advocate for raising public awareness of the opioid addiction crisis and spearheaded the effort to bring this educational forum to the Merle-Smith Campus. Now a student at Johns Hopkins University, she sits on the Northampton County Opioid & Heroin Educational Event Advisory Committee, which is organized by the Center for Humanistic Change (CHC) and the Northampton County Drug & Alcohol Administration.
