Students Fill Their Campus Passports

After only two weeks, our Downtown Beginning and Lower School students are already well traveled! 

To get their passport stamps, they visited important spaces across campus. From Nurse Toni's health room to their specialist classrooms, students traversed our beautiful Downtown Campus learning about all the opportunities and expectations in their learning spaces. They even discovered the hidden desk in Dr. Mahone's Lower School office!

The Developmental Designs social-emotional learning curriculum recommends using the first several weeks of school to establish routines and build community. As students become more comfortable with their environment, they will be better prepared to focus on the important work of learning new content. The passport activity allowed our youngest learners to explore their school while meeting and building relationships with all the caring adults in their community.
