As part of our science curriculum, Swain School’s Pre-kindergarten students study different types of trees such as coniferous and deciduous trees.

Recently, our young learners enjoyed a nature walk, collecting different types of leaves, sprigs of evergreen trees, acorns, and pinecones. They then identified and sorted their nature items by gluing them onto their tree classification chart. Nature walks are always a favorite PreK activity because they offer learners hands-on exploration.
