Over the past couple of weeks in AP Biology, we have been studying cell structure and function.
We have learned about the cell membrane, lysosomes, cilia, nucleus, cytoplasm, and much, much more. As part of this unit, Mr. Reggie planned a lab for us to better understand how the cell membrane works: The Cell Bubble Membrane Lab. We spent the class replicating cell membranes with bubbles to see how cell membranes are fluid, semi-permeable, and have the ability to self-repair.
Hildi and Gracie '23 learn about cell division.
Nabeel '23 and Eli '23 learn how membrane-bound organelles in animal cells exist in eukaryotic cells.
Mr. Reggie looks through a gap junction between bubble (cells) membranes.
