Be the conductor of your own train. Just keep swimming. Be kind, always. These are just a few of the words of encouragement offered to our community by Upper School advisories as part of the Encouragement Ribbon Project.
In acknowledgement of the challenges we have all faced recently, the project began with students supporting and uplifting each other with within their advisories. Then, each advisory collaborated on mantras to deliver to the school, hoping to inspire our greater community. Students wrote the mantras on tags and tied them to ribbons, which were then strung together into one long train of colorful encouragement. It is our hope that on the next sunny day, we can tie the ribbon to a tree on the Merle-Smith Campus as a reminder to stay positive, keep your head up, and that together we are strong.
