With “CurioSity Day” replacing traditional “S” days in our Virtual School Schedule, dedicated time has been created for students in the Class of 2023 to complete FIRE Spring-semester Independent Projects.

Though this project is considered optional to complete this term, several students have chosen to embark on sophisticated, meaningful academic experiences. Foremost among them is **Sierra Smith '23’s** documentary video comparing and contrasting the current COVID-19 crisis to the infamous Spanish Flu pandemic of 1918-19. 

Watch here as Sierra intersperses touching segments from sources with her own well-crafted exposition. Her project offers a fine example of the creativity and critical thinking on display every day at Moravian Academy, and we look forward to brighter days ahead when we will put COVID-19 into the history books.
