This week in Mrs. Matlock's class we played tic-tac-toe with our virtual classmates.
Here's how to play. Both students roll both the dice and multiply the two-digit number by 7. Students are learning about expanded and standard algorithms, so they need to explain how they arrived at the product. (e.g. Did you add the partial products? Did you regroup?) The first player to cover a row, column, or diagonal in one of the four sections on the game board wins! It was a fun way to play and learn math with our classmates who were virtual.
