Upper School Holiday Assembly Featuring First Grade

December 19, 2019

In what has become a tradition at the Upper School, students and faculty gathered for our annual Holiday Assembly on Wednesday, December 18th. The assembly, which highlighted both the traditions of Hanukkah and Christmas, featured poems, stories, and songs.

Special music was provided by the beautiful singing voices of our first-grade guests, directed by Mr. Wallace, and our Upper School wind ensemble, directed by Dr. Fanning.

Perhaps the best part for the audience, especially its youngest members, was the appearance of Santa himself!

After the assembly, our first-graders had the opportunity to take pictures with Santa before lunch, sugar cooking decorating and fun games together with their senior buddies. The first-graders' visit to the Upper School also included language class with Profe del Real (Spanish) or Madame Sanborn & Mademoiselle Wert (French) and story time with Dr. Moore.

Thank you to our first-grade guests for reminding us about the joy and magic of the holidays!
