The fall athletic season is in full swing with approximately 240 student-athletes participating in a sport at the Middle School and Upper School. It is clear that our students are excited about participating in our co-curricular activities.

The Golf Team is off to a great start with a 7-1 record. The team will compete in the Colonial League Championship at Bethlehem Municipal on Monday, September 23. The team will look to repeat as Colonial League and District XI Champions.

The Girls’ Varsity Tennis Team is currently 4-0 overall. The girls are poised to compete for the League and District XI titles. The team will compete in the Colonial League Championship on Thursday, September 26 at 12 pm at Saucon Valley High School.

The Boys’ Varsity Soccer Team is off to a 3-0 start. They defeated Palmerton High School and Pen Argyl this past week to open up their Colonial League schedule. The team hosted a successful boys’ soccer play day during the pre-season segment. Six teams from around the Lehigh Valley and beyond competed in a series of varsity and JV matches to prepare them for the season.   The team will look to finish a busy week with games vs. Palisades on Saturday.

The Girls’ Varsity Field Hockey Team is also enjoying a successful start to the season. The team‘s record is 2-0, posting two away wins vs. Palmerton and Wilson. Under the leadership of Coach Wendy Sheetz, the team will look to continue its winning ways as they close out the week by facing Catasauqua High School at home on Friday. The field hockey play day held on August 25 was another great success. Our program welcomed ten teams from the Lehigh Valley for a fun-filled day of field hockey games. Thank you to all of the parent volunteers who helped out!

The Boys’ and Girls’ Cross Country Team had a quick start to the year. The program hosted the Lions’ Invitational on August 30. Twenty-five schools and over 900 runners competed in a middle school boys' and girls', varsity girls', varsity boys', and sub-varsity boys' and girls' races. This was a great way to start the running season! A big thank you to all of the parents who volunteered their time to make this race a success! The Varsity boys’ team won a 1st team trophy that day. The runners then stayed at home this past Thursday as we hosted the first Colonial League meet of the year. Good luck to all of our runners with the rest of the season!

The Girls’ Soccer Team, under the direction of fourth-year head coach Darien Vercillo, is looking to continue to improve after their first District XI Championship in program history.   The girls are off to a good start with 2-0 record after defeating Palmerton High School and Pen Argyl on the road. They will finish a busy week as they will host Palisades on Saturday.  Kickoff is set for 10:00 am.
