Kyla '21, Christian '22, and Makayla Manja '27 along with their family held a Levant Music Project Concert at the State Theater Center for the Arts on September 14 as a special fundraiser for the Arabic Music Retreat. The concert drew a crowd of 150 attendees who donated to the Retreat’s Scholarship Fund.

Head of School Jeff Zemsky attended the concert as well and reflects, "This was a very special evening and many people from Moravian Academy were there to enjoy it. The ensemble played an impressive range of musical pieces, from folk songs to new compositions, and at several points, they had nearly everyone in the room singing along. I'm still humming some of the tunes today. It was inspiring to see Moravian Academy students - including a 5th grader! - play alongside a master musician like Simon Shaheen. Thanks to the Levant Music Project and the Manja Family for bringing together so many people from across our region for a beautiful and uplifting night of music!"

Performing were:
Jouzaphin Manja – voice
Kyla Manja '21 – violin
Bengisu Gokce – violin
Makayl Manja '27 – violin
Amal Waqr – `ud
Christian Manja '22 – qanun
Adam Maalouf – riqq

And, a special solo performance by Simon Shaheen on `ud
