Vince Menichelli '22 was selected by his peers and the Moravian Academy administration as the 2021-2022 recipient of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) Good Citizen Award.
Winners of this award are selected for possessing the qualities of good citizenship, dependability, service, leadership, and patriotism. On Thursday, April 7, Vince read his essay and was honored in ceremony with other award winners from area high schools. America is a collection of individual citizens, groups, and cultures that rely on each other in various ways. Each individual citizen, regardless of their socioeconomic status, depends upon and provides for their fellow citizens. According to DAR, The DAR Good Citizen Award "recognizes and rewards individuals who possess the qualities of dependability, service, leadership, and patriotism in their homes, schools, and communities. These students are selected by their teachers and peers because they demonstrate these qualities to an outstanding degree."
