Looking for ways to help at a local level during COVID-19?
Support Masks for the Lehigh Valley
Masks for Lehigh Valley is a grassroots effort to supply our community with masks. The campaign aims to organize sewers, machines, fabric, materials, and distribute masks to meet the needs of the Lehigh Valley healthcare and community providers.
The Masks for the Lehigh Valley website provides instructions and patterns for how to make masks, which are structured to fit over the N95 masks that are issued to healthcare professionals.
Not crafty but still want to help? The organization also accepts general monetary donations.
Make A Donation to Local Health Care Systems
While Lehigh Valley Health Network (LVHN) and St. Lukeʼs University Health Network currently both have an adequate stock of necessary items, the organizations want to remain agile by ensuring they are prepared for any shortages that might occur in the future.
Both health care organizations are accepting donations from the community, including:
LVHN has set up donation drop-off centers at locations throughout Lehigh Valley. More information about donating supplies to LVHN can be found here.
St. Lukeʼs has also set up donation drop-off centers at their Urgent Care locations. Donations will be accepted whenever these locations are open. More information about donating supplies to St. Luke's can be found here.
