In second grade, we have been talking about the importance of having a growth mindset rather than a fixed mindset.
We created a sign announcing, “We are a risk-taking, mistake-making community!” We have discussed that it is crucial to take risks and make mistakes while learning. Mistakes are proof that we are making an effort to learn. Throughout the day, we can point to the sign and remind ourselves and each other that making mistakes is an important part of learning!
