Michael Brolly is the September Artist in Residence for an international sculpture park.

He shares an update from Blackfoot Pathways: Sculpture in the Wild International Sculpture Park, located in Lincoln, Montana.

"I am making a permanent installation for the Sculpture Park.  I am going to carve seats into the log and call it Divergent ConversationsThere are a lot of different thought processes about how and what should go on here and in our country."

The sculpture park's mission is to "[p]rovide an environment for the creation of significant artworks, both permanent and temporary, inspired by the environmental and industrial heritage of the Blackfoot Valley while fostering an awareness and appreciation of the arts through community participation and education."

"The countryside is astounding," writes Brolly.

While he completes his sculpture, interim woodworking instructor Thomas Macdonald, teaches in the woodshop on the Merle-Smith Campus.
