The spring season is nearing completion and with about 200 student-athletes participating in Athletics across our three locations, our campuses remain active long after the end of the academic day.

The highlight of the spring has been the performance of our Varsity Boys’ Tennis Team.  The team recorded an undefeated regular season and won both the Colonial League regular season and Tournament titles.  They also secured the District XI AA Team title by defeating Central Catholic in impressive fashion. The team’s overall record is 11-0.

The Girls’ Lacrosse Team has fought hard this season.  With three games remaining in the regular season, they will need two victories to secure a District XI playoff spot.  Megan Dadio '24 and Jolie Eyvazzadeh '25 have had strong seasons for the Lions.

The Boys’ Lacrosse Team has been very competitive throughout the season so far.  Head Coach and MA alumnus Andrew Stitt '03MA continues to lead this group.  Their record currently stands at 5-7.  With four regular season games remaining, the team will look to secure some positive results as they head into the District playoffs.

The co-operative sponsorship with Notre Dame of Green Pond continues to provide opportunities for our students to compete in Softball, Track and Field and Volleyball in the spring season. On the track, AJ Sasso '24 has posted the second best 800 meter run time in our league with 2:01:37.  AJ also ran the 2nd best time in the 1600 meter run with 4:34.60.

Joseph Phillips '24 is currently leading the league in the 110 meter hurdles and has the 3rd best time in the 300 meter hurdles.  Good luck to all of our track and field athletes as they will compete in the Colonial League Track and Field Championship on Tuesday May, 7, and Wednesday May 8, at Whitehall High School.

We are looking forward to the rest of the spring season and some exciting competitions and performances.  Go Lions!
