Last week, Moravian Academy's Swain Campus hosted ceramic artist and teacher Deborah Slahta from the Banana Factory in Bethlehem. During art class, Deb shared her passion for art with Kindergarten to 8th-grade students.
She integrated mathematical and scientific concepts into these projects to enhance students' understanding and develop interdisciplinary connections. For example, 6th graders learned about measuring and geometry
We extend our gratitude to Deborah Slahta for sharing her expertise and passion, enhancing skills, and fostering appreciation for interdisciplinary connections at Moravian Academy.
