Not only did Team A place 4th (out of 57!) in the National Quiz Bowl Small School Tournament, but students also won the PBS Scholastic Scrimmage State Championship.
Eight seniors attended the National Quiz Bowl Small School Tournament in Chicago, held from April 22-24, 2022.
Students competed as part of two teams: Team A and Team B. Team A, comprised of Eric Jackson '22, Yiyi Chen '22, Samit Mohapatra '22, and Divik Verma '22, took 4th place in the tournament with a record of 13-2 out of 57 schools. Team B, comprised of Lily Eyvazzadeh '22, Andrew Burke '22, Sebastian Holbrook '22, and Theo Urban '22 also performed well, finishing with a 4-8 record.
Additionally, on Monday, April 25, Eric Jackson '22, Yiyi Chen '22, Samit Mohapatra '22, and Divik Verma '22 competed in the PBS Scholastic Scrimmage State Championship hosted by PBS 39. The three competing schools, including Moravian Academy, previously won their local PBS scholastic scrimmage competitions. Moravian Academy continued its winning streak by taking first in the competition by a wide margin.
