Over the weekend, accompanied by Mrs. Washington, Mr. Judkins, and Ms. Elias-Horvath, the Black Student Union (BSU) took a trip to New York City.
We traveled back in time to learn the story of Michael Jackson and jam out to some of his record-breaking hits.
Upon arrival, we shopped around unsure of what to expect in MJ the Musical. After gauging everyone's excitement at intermission, I knew we made the right decision on the trip activity. I mean if "Thriller" doesn’t electrify you, I don’t know what will!
We celebrated MJ winning his first eight Grammy Awards, but also experienced the pressure and consequences of constantly being in the spotlight. The show came to a close with the audience getting up off their seats and clapping to the beat of “Wanna Be Startin’ Somethin'' and shouting, “Ma-ma-se, ma-ma-sa, ma-ma-ko-ssa” or maybe that was just me.
