This week, students in first through fifth grade attended an assembly featuring a special visitor: the 2022 American Honey Queen, Lucy Winn!

As American Honey Queen, Lucy travels the country to educate the public with facts about bees, beekeeping and honey.

This program is a part of the American Beekeeping Federation.

For more than 75 years, the American Beekeeping Federation (ABF) has been working in the interest of all beekeepers, large and small, and those associated with the beekeeping industry to ensure the future of the honey bee.

Beekeeping is especially important to to our learners, as Moravian Academy has its own apiary on the Merle-Smith Campus. Thank you to Lucy for sharing the importance of honeybees with students.
