First Grade Enjoys a Visit to the Crayola Factory
First grade enjoyed the power of creativity as they explored this colorful destination full of interactive and creative play.
They viewed a crayon factory show where they learned how crayons are made and why Crayola crayons are so special. They also learned about the science of making crayons and the three necessary ingredients: paraffin wax, pigment, and clay. They then personalized and printed their own creative label to create their very own Crayola crayon.
The children also had great fun frolicking on the Color Playground and making their very own colorful puzzles. They were able to make drip art projects, melt and mold rings and cars, model magic crafts and they got their very own Scribble Scrubbies. The children were very entertained by participating in the interactive experiences of Rainbow Rain, Stomp and Play, Silly Selfies and Water Works. The day was filled with tons of colorful fun and creativity!
