Fourth Grade Gives Life to Historical Figures

March 29, 2023

On Thursday, March 9, friends and families were invited to join fourth grade students on a trip throughout the United States and beyond!

Students spoke about the characteristics of the five regions of the United States, which they study throughout the year, and people that made an impact on this country.

Students spoke about people such as Ferdinand Magellan, Harriet Tubman, Benjamin Franklin, Betsy Ross, Sonia Sotomayor, Sally Ride, Maria Tallchief, and many more! This cross-curricular event included a performance by the students of memorable songs including Wakko’s America from the Animaniacs and 50 Nifty United States by Ray Charles.

The audience was invited to tour the “wax museum,” throughout which students embodied the people that they had learned about for their research project. The students did an outstanding job memorizing their lines and speeches, rehearsing, and performing at this event. The evening created wonderful memories for the fourth-graders and their families.
