Mission in Action: Nurturing the Joyful Spirit

February 29, 2024

Nurturing the joyful spirit of each learner is at the core of Moravian Academy's mission, and it comes to life through the dedicated efforts of Beginning School teachers like Stacey Raudabaugh and Lisa Campbell, preschool educators on the Swain Campus.

The Beginning School lays the foundation of a lifetime love of learning. Through meticulously crafted centers and hands-on activities, children not only acquire academic and physical skills but also revel in the sheer delight of play.

Dramatic play transforms the classroom into a flower shop, bakery, construction site, and doctor's office. This imaginative approach ignites creativity and problem-solving skills. At the heart of the preschool experience is a celebration of individual growth. The Beginning School fosters a sense of community where each child feels valued. Learning is seamlessly woven into the fabric of joy through songs, hands-on activities, and child-led creativity.

Moravian Academy's Beginning School isn't just about toys; it's about creating meaningful experiences that spark curiosity, creativity, and JOY.

Moravian Academy nurtures the joyful spirit of each learner and empowers inclusive global citizens to think critically, communicate effectively, lead with integrity, and strive for excellence.
