Students and Faculty Rally Support for Ukraine
The Coins for Ukraine initiative is growing as our community rallies support for those displaced by the humanitarian crisis.
What began as collecting spare change in the Middle School has turned into a school-wide initiative to raise money for the United Nations High Commission for Refugees (UNHCR). Now, every homeroom on the Downtown Campus has a collection jar as students find creative ways to raise funds in support of Ukrainian refugees.
Beginning Monday, March 14, the Coins for Ukraine challenge will come to the Merle-Smith Campus. We'll keep you posted as the pennies roll in!
In addition to the challenge, the Middle School Store, where students can purchase snacks, is donating $250 of its profits to the cause.
Moravian Academy's Girl Scout Troupe 8142 also opened their hearts (and their piggy banks), quickly raising $274 for the UNICEF Ukraine Children’s Fund.
Thank you to everyone who has donated so far! We are so proud of your empathy and compassion.
