Today in reading workshop, we wrote speech bubbles focusing on two types of summarizing: chronological retells and pausing to synthesize.

Chronological retells is when we retell the timeline of the story by taking big steps and explain big events.

Pausing to synthesize is when we retell only the part we just read and then summarize the related backstory.
