Fifth-Graders Present Etiquette Assembly

November 14, 2019

As the leaders of the Lower School, fifth-graders presented an assembly for first through fourth-graders last week. They focused on two important topics: lunchroom etiquette and school uniform protocol.

SignFifth graders filmed video clips of 'bad' lunchroom practices and asked younger students to identify problem areas. The audience responded enthusiastically and then saw video clips of students practicing 'good' lunchroom behavior. Our lunchroom staff have informed us that they've noticed positive changes in lunchroom behavior following the assembly.

To reinforce our school uniform policies, fifth-graders posed as runway models and emcees. As models sported uniform faux pas, emcees asked, "Do you see what's wrong?" Audience hands shot up to identify the many examples of familiar departures from our uniform policy.

Great job, fifth grade!
