The eighth-graders recently returned back to campus from a three-day overnight visit to Washington, DC. Led by Mr. David Walp and the eighth-grade team, students trekked around the capital city making connections with the curriculum. On the first day, students enjoyed lunch at the Ronald Reagan building followed by walking tours to places along the National Mall, including the Natural History Museum, the National Museum of American History, and the National Museum of African American History and Culture. That evening, students toured the many monuments during a guided tour.
The Middle School will have a non-uniform day on Friday, November 1. Students are encouraged to wear fall colors (orange, black, green, red, yellow) or may also wear a Halloween costume.
"How was school today?" is a frequent conversation starter for many households across the world. Sometimes this occurs in a car, on a phone, or at the dinner table. This is an important part of the day for both students and parents/guardians. It's a chance to leave school or the workplace behind and also a chance to reconnect with family. It's also an opportunity to have a deep and thoughtful conversation with your child(ren). Learning doesn't have to (and shouldn't) stop when the school day ends.
