What we're curious about
In our 7th-grade Spanish humanities class, students have been learning about some of the ancient civilizations that inhabited different areas of Mesoamerica and some of their key differences.
In the 6th-grade post-Spanish Immersion humanities class, we have been learning about the culture and people of Spain and many of its traditions. One very similar one to our Moravian Putz is the Belén that many families put up in their houses or can visit at churches.
Over the last month in our third-grade Spanish immersion classroom, we have been learning about poetry and the different poetic devices we can find in some of the classics. One poet we took a look at was one of Spain's greatest poets of all time: Federico García Lorca. We listened to, read, acted, and recited some of the favorites and recorded these videos.
