Today's Lower School book tasting celebration invited students in Grades 1 – 5 to our Reading Café in the CE Auditorium.

The book tasting activity exposed students to different genres and get them engaged and excited about reading. A fun kick-off to our exploration of non-fiction works in Unit 2, students had the chance to peruse book baskets with a variety of topics and enjoy a beverage while doing this.

Students rotated between several tables to “taste” the books. Students kept in mind that the goal of the activity was not to read an entire book, but to take a sneak peek and get an idea of what the book is about before they get to actually read them in their classrooms.
