Our fifth-grade Lower School Players brought the classic tale of little orphan Annie to life with four amazing performances!

Songs like “Tomorrow,” “It’s a Hard Knock Life,” and “You’re Never Fully Dressed Without a Smile” brought down the house in both Benigna Auditorium and the Dyer Auditorium at the Upper School. Actors were supported by an outstanding group of stage crew students. They took care of the technical aspects of the show as well as making sure the scene changes ran smoothly.

Supporting the show was the work of students in art teacher Mr. Brian Elstein’s “Sets and Props” after school program. Students worked collaboratively to create 12-inch by 18-inch 2-dimensional works of art using various mediums. These scenes were then photographed, some were animated, and then projected behind the stage and served as the backdrop to the show! The students in the program also created props such as an old fashioned radio and Sandy’s mask. 

As directors, we were delighted with the effort and talents of all the students who worked as a team to make this show such a success!
