Currently, my seventh-grade virtual science classes are studying the inside of the Earth and  investigating the interior layers.

Last week, students were given the challenge to model the four layers of the Earth using materials and items they have in their home. Each student shared their unique model as part of a Google slideshow for their classmates.

Utilizing a diverse set of items, from Legos to pizza to crayons, students displayed amazing creativity in this activity and learned a lot in the process.
