Alumnus Racing to Develop COVID-19 Vaccine
This week, Army Lieutenant Ethan Green '15 was featured on Military.com for his efforts to help the U.S. government develop a vaccine to fight the COVID-19 pandemic.
For the only active-duty military member on the Walter Reed Army Institute of Research team and a doctoral candidate at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences, the job fulfills a dream he's had since he was 14: to be an Army microbiologist.
Said Ethan, ""The nature of what I'm doing, it's an amazing opportunity, and I thank God every day that I'm doing it. It makes me really sad that I have to -- I'd much rather be bored out of my mind in the lab -- but it has filled me with this immense purpose."
