Fisola Oyerokun '24 Beautifies Local Park for Eagle Scout Project

November 13, 2023

Anyone familiar with the Lehigh Valley knows how important its public parks are. That includes Fisola Oyerokun '24, member of Troop 71 who earned his Eagle Scout Rank with an improvement project at Macungie Memorial Park

He chose to replace the dirt bed in front of the amphitheater at Macungie Memorial Park with pavers.

He says, "I chose the amphitheater because it is a landmark to Macungie. It is used by people during the various car shows, by musical acts, by theater performers, and by many other groups that gather at Macungie Park.

The pavers will help the community make use of the amphitheater regularly year-round. "I’d like to give back to the park to help preserve Macungie’s history for the next generation who will enjoy the scenery of the park as much as I do," he says.
