Shiv Patel '26 is a shining example of being an inclusive global citizen as he mentors children to discover robotics through curiosity as part of RoboReach India, the service program he founded after after visiting India in the spring of 2023.

Shiv spent two weeks in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India, sharing his love and knowledge of robotics with children from underprivileged communities during an intensive robotics workshop that he organized.

During the workshop, Shiv led hands-on building and coding experiences using LEGO robotic kits and iPads. He also personally worked to fundraise for the trip to make the experience possible. In November 2024, he plans to teach a similar workshop at an all-girls school in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan.
