November 04, 2019

On Friday November 1st, seven Upper School students competed in the ACM CodeJam competition at IU 20 in partnership with DeSales University.

One of Moravian Academy's teams placed 2nd out of 18 teams representing schools across the Lehigh Valley. Students on the second place winning team included Rohan Mehta '23, Sara Xaio '21, Alek Krupka '21, and Ben Kraft '20. A team of Programming 1 students also competed consisting of Yan Yu '23, Evania Raskapur '23, and Okezue Bell '23.

The students were given a ten question problem set to complete in two hours. Unlike most coding competitions, students were only allowed to work on one computer at a time and needed to complete the problems in order to receive full credit.

Way to go, Lions!
