Lollipoppies for Veterans
In the U.S., November is a time to pause and reflect on the blessings of our lives.
We honor the sacrifices our veterans made to ensure our freedom and opportunity, and we gather with those we love to celebrate in Thanksgiving. In recognition of both, third grade made "lollipoppies" for veterans. Over 40 tokens of gratitude were made by both the English and SIP classes and delivered to "Paul's House" Valor Foundation Clinic in Kunkletown.
Ms. Kuehner's homeroom also "adopted" veterans in a program called Volunteers for Veterans. Each student performed an act of service in honor of a specific veteran. Then, each made a larger lollipoppy with a tag noting that service. All lollipoppies were hand-delivered or mailed to the vets for Thanksgiving.
