Lower School Fine Arts Day
On Monday, March 2nd, our students in first through fifth grade were treated to a full schedule of inspiring workshops led by artists that followed their passions into professional careers.
Arts Day featured a variety of creative presenters including a muralist, architect, photographer, collage artist, dancers (including students from our Upper School), and puppeteers. Each hands-on session offered students an opportunity to learn about and try out each artists' craft.
The workshops were accompanied by an instrument petting zoo curated by Mr. Ben Wallace and a collaborative "Yellow Brick Road" themed chalk drawing. The event gave students an opportunity to gain a new appreciation of the important role that the arts take in the world around them!
