Old Game, New Rules, All Fun
October 15, 2020
As part of our language arts grammar unit on nouns, I’ve always played a matching game using the singular and plural form of a noun.
In the past, the students would get up out of their seat and find the person holding the singular form of their word. Today, the students held up their words on laminated cards and looked around to find the person with the matching verb form. It worked! They shared their word, identified if it was singular or plural, and gave an example sentence. They also said the name of the person holding the plural form of the word. Like I said, old game… new rules!
