On February 6th (after school) and February 7th (all day), students will have the chance to share with their parents/guardians and their advisors reflections on their learning and academic progress through a formal writing assignment patterned after the Lebenslauf.
As educators, we often find ourselves in the weeds - considering etymology, functionality, pragmatism. Should we focus on respect, love, empathy, kindness, compassion, caring, niceness, or civility? What are the similarities and nuances? Does it matter? And how do these ideals lead to the creation and sustaining of community?
Andriana Turcotte has been teaching in the math department at Moravian Academy for two years. In addition to teaching, Mrs. Turcotte is math competitions team director, a Ski Club chaperone, chairperson of our "Mind Body Spirit" Committee, and an eighth-grade advisor.
