Sixth Grade Uses Art, Design Skills to Explore Humans in Space

The sixth-grade students at the Downtown Campus recently used their art and design skills during their study of living and working in space.

They created a comic book to showcase what they learned about the scientific and engineering experimentation on board the ISS. As a final project, students used the design thinking process to brainstorm ideas and prototype spacesuits to keep astronauts safe in the harsh environment of outer space. Enjoy the scientific artwork of our future astronauts!
