This week, Mrs. Burd's 10th grade history class investigated the Edo, or Tokugawa era, of Japan as part of this year's first unit on Golden Ages. 

We learned about the various arts that flourished during that time, such as Kabuki and Noh theatre, and woodblock printing.

Students drew Kabuki masks and tried on traditional Japanese summer clothing that Mrs. Burd shared from her three years of living in Japan.
