An Identity Ecosystem Takes Root at Moravian Academy

If you find yourself walking around on the Merle-Smith Campus in the next few weeks, you may notice a curious and colorful outcropping of mushrooms growing near the Rose Garden. But these mushrooms aren’t just any mushrooms! They are the living embodiment of the stories of the Seniors in the Story and Poetry classes in our Identity Ecosystem project.

Hope & Healing Through the Arts

Over the past decade, Upper School students have donated artwork to Healing Through The Arts, a non-profit that provides free art to healthcare workers and others to inspire hope and calm. Students participated again this year, one where hope and inspiration are in great demand.

SIP Hops on the Rhythm Train

Using the Little Engine That Could by Watty Piper as inspiration, Second Grade has been "training" their rhythm skills by creating rhythm trains. Each student was encouraged to create their own train composition using the Rhythmic Building Bricks. Here is Señora Vanegas's class sharing their compositions through performance. Enjoy!
