Let's Fly Through the Story Map

The Story Class' collaboration with the Lower School was a little different this year. Conducted all on Zoom, the sessions had Story students being paired with Downstairs Kindergarteners and, in each session, we worked together to create a story.

During our art-themed week, Kindergarteners in the Spanish Immersion Program learned about the famous Mexican painter, Frida Kahlo, and her famous autorretratos (self-portraits). We discussed the important elements of Frida's famous self-portraits, and we used them to create our own paintings, which you can see below.
