We’re Off to See El Mago de Oz
Follow the yellow brick road to the Lower School’s performance of El Mago de Oz on Thursday, April 23 at 7:00 pm!
Based on “The Wonderful Wizard of Oz,” a children’s novel written by L. Frank Baum in 1900, the play has been adapted to a bilingual version by ArtsReach Children’s Theater Plays. With Spanish and English lines interwoven through the scenes, the show follows the tale of Dorothy, her dog Toto, Scarecrow, Tin Man and Lion through the land of Oz.
Students in Grades 4-5 are welcomed to be a part of the cast and crew. Auditions for the many featured and supporting roles will be held on Monday, February 3, immediately after school until 4:30 PM in the CE Auditorium. For the auditions, there will be a short portion of a song learned and a cold reading. Nothing needs to be prepared ahead of time.
We are looking forward to making some magic this spring!
