Our 4th-grade artists have started to work on their Mosaics in Art Class.  Aligning with their history and geography curriculum, the theme of these mosaics is places around the world.

Students researched places around the world and used famous locations like the Eiffel Tower, Seljalandsfoss Waterfall in Iceland, castles, and nature landscapes as their inspirations. The process of creating their mosaics includes selecting location inspiration, sketching design ideas, transferring sketch to wooden canvas, selecting tiles, and glueing tiles to their canvas.

The final project should be completed next week.
