What we're curious about
This past semester in Advanced French: School & Home, we explored the history of French cinema and took a deep dive into two recent French films which centered on the themes of school life, family, race and what it means to feel "at home."
I would like to share an activity we did in my French classes this past week. We've been practicing past tense, present tense, and future tenses to talk about who we used to be, who we are today, and who we imagine we will be in five years' time. We've reflected on the past and also set goals for the new year.
Every year around Thanksgiving, my French students write thank-you messages in French for their teachers. This year, I adapted the activity to be virtual and emailed their digital cards to colleagues.
