Culinary Club Travels the Globe: 1st Stop, Lebanon
A new semester of electives started on Monday. Swain Campus students in sixth through eighth grade had the opportunity to join clubs ranging from garden and watercolor painting club to book club and philosophy! But the tastiest one of them all is Culinary Club.
Throughout this semester during Culinary Club, our budding chefs will learn about different cooking & baking techniques, taste flavors from all over the world, and hopefully end with a bake off.
Their first culinary adventure was to Lebanon for Tabbouleh Salad. They boiled, chopped, juiced, and mixed their way to this traditional middle eastern side dish. The result... a delicious, crisp, and beautiful salad!
As the semester continues, Culinary Club will explore different cultures and traditional food and take their turn at making, and eating, foods from across the globe!
