Elizabeth John '21 Advances in DAR Good Citizen Essay Contest
Elizabeth John was selected by her peers and the Moravian Academy administration in the fall of 2020 as the recipient of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) Good Citizen Award for possessing the qualities of good citizenship, dependability, service, leadership, and patriotism. On Thursday, April 8, Elizabeth was honored in a Zoom ceremony with other award winners from area high schools.
Elizabeth was selected from among these outstanding students to move onto the state competition for her Good Citizenship Essay entry.
According to DAR, The DAR Good Citizen Award "recognizes and rewards individuals who possess the qualities of dependability, service, leadership, and patriotism in their homes, schools, and communities. These students are selected by their teachers and peers because they demonstrate these qualities to an outstanding degree."
