Four Swimmers & Divers Receive All-Area Recognition
The 2020 All-Area Girls Swimming and Diving honors were released Monday by lehighvalleylive and four Lions standouts made the cut.
FIRST TEAM
Pepper Ritchey '21
The junior won the District 11 Class 2A 100 butterfly with a record time of 55.83. She also won gold in the district 500 freestyle with a mark of 5:01.79. Ritchey teamed with Jade Ware, McKayla Blazure and Anna Shoudt to win the district 200 medley relay with a 1:51.66. She also anchored the D-11 gold medal 400 freestyle relay team of Blazure, Shoudt and Ware to a time of 3:41.01. Ritchey could not compete in the PIAA Class 2A championships as the event was canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The All-Area team is comprised of standout swimmers and divers from schools in Northampton, Lehigh and Warren counties, as well as Palisades in Bucks County, Palmerton in Carbon County and North Hunterdon, Voorhees and Delaware Valley in Hunterdon County.
